With yesterday’s announcement from President Trump to pause the reciprocal tariffs for 90 days we will be publishing another update to the US tariff today. The higher reciprocal rates for specific countries were suspended and the rate for China was raised to 125%. The update will also contain a number of corrections including 6 8 digit headers from Annex II that should have been exempted and the removal of the reciprocal tariff for the HS codes that already have 232 penalties associated with them.
We also have an update for China including a handful of new HS codes and new additional duties for US origin goods that covers nearly the entire tariff. We are hoping to publish that today but it may not be till tomorrow.
There is a set of new additional duties in the Canada tariff that we will be updating tomorrow as well.
The EU has announced that they are holding off adding new duties for now, given the suspension of the ones in the US.
