2022 Tariff Update Status [June 10th]

Mexico has signed and sent the approved tariff to DOF and it was published on June 7^th, 2022 (see the attachment)

This should finalize the structure of the MX tariff for 2022 at the 8 digit level.  Note that does not mean it is in effect yet!  We will need to confirm if there are differences with what has been published in the past.

The next steps in the process for the tariff to become effective:

• SAT has 180 days to update their systems. Ten working days after that, the tariff will be officially in force (Transitory Article 1)
• SE has 40 days to publish the NICos and correlations tables (Transitory Article 4)
• SE has 60 days to publish National notes (Transitory Article 5)

Note that “NICOs” are the two new digits beyond the 8 that we have traditionally had.
