2022 Tariff Update Status [Dec 2]

Key updates since our last post: 

2022 Tariff updates:

              Albania– New 2022 tariff for Albania.  A couple of places where they are not “compliant” with WCO specs.  

Other updates:

              Saudi Arabia– HS and Duty update for Saudi Arabia.

              Canada–2022-5 Update.  Adjustment to trade programs, including MY in CPTPT.

Mexico– Addition of MY-TPP FTA rates, new agreement in force Nov 29 2022.  No HS changes. Still 2017 nomenclature.

Ecuador– HS and Tariff Update for November 24th 2022.

China– One duty rate correction to MFN rate for 3204170020 in China.  No other changes.

United States– Updated Cotton Fee rates.  This is a TAX ONLY UPDATE.  It will only affect products with taxes.

Australia– This update only adds “MY” to the list of countries that benefit from the RCEP FTA rate in Australia. NO HS, duty or tax changes.

Pending, or likely to go out Friday Dec 2:

                TW – Dec 1 tariff update

                China – another update with a number of new HS codes and CIQ codes.

                EU/DE/GB/CH Monthly update for December.

SPECIAL NOTICE:

Mexico has announced their transition to the WCO 2022 tariff will be effective 12/12/22.  We will continue to monitor and send out updates as that gets closer.

Vietnam reversed their decision/update for 2022, postponing it till Dec 29th.  We are in the process of trying to reverse this for SAP-GTS clients that updated with the Dec 1 update.
